JKSFCLU accuses SFC for going rigidly against genuine demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Jan 20: The J&K State Forest Corporation Labour Union(JKSFCLU) has accused the State Forest Corporation management of adopting rigid attitude towards their genuine demands. In a press conference here today, the members of the Union said that in the year 2004 Managing Director State forest Corporation issued tender notice dated 16th of march 2004 directed that all the persons to whom work has been allotted, shall be allotted in future only on their registration and un-registered members shall be granted work in future. ‘Aggrieved of the said order, the SFC Labour union filed writ-petition bearing SWP No. 790/04 before the High Court of J&K and vide order dated 6th of May 2004 and the court maintain the status of the petitioners but no change had been made to the service status of the members of the J&K state Forest Corporation Labour Union .Even the minimum wages which has been enhanced by the Govt to Rs 110 per day were not being implemented to the labour’, it was mentioned.Alleging rigid attitude of the management, the union threatened to go for the indefinite strike for implementation of their genuine demands. They demanded deduction of CP fund, enhancement of SRO and minimum wages as per previous practice for the last more than 15 years, group medical insurance of all the labourers working in all sale depots.
