Interlocutors seek road maps from separatists | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Jan 20: New Delhi's nominated interlocutors on Jammu Kashmir today invited the separatists for talks. "We are ready to talk to them anytime anywhere", they said. The separatists, it may be mentioned, have so far ignored the interlocutors. Talking to a local news agency, noted journalist Dileep Padgaonkar, who heads the team of three interlocutors, said, "If separatists do not want to talk to us personally, they should come up with written proposals or a road map on Kashmir." Dileep said the separatists had not responded to the invitation of the interlocutors till date. "We approached them, but they have not responded", he said. Padgaonkar claimed full support of the union government. "Our mission Kashmir shall continue. We have full mandate of the Union Government", he said. However, he remained silent on the terms of reference of the interlocutors. He said New Delhi had authorized them to talk to anybody, anytime and anywhere. The team of interlocutors has already held sessions with the National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), BJP and others. They have received NC's autonomy proposal and PDP's Self Rule document. A well known columnist in his weekly column has discussed the need for roadmaps. According to him, the separatists are not students and the movement not an examination. "Nobody sought any roadmap from Gandhi", he said. According to him, the government of India did not consider NC's autonomy proposal, PDP's Self Rule document and Sajjad Lone's `Achievable Nationhood.
