Development of backward areas priority of J&K govt: Omar | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 21: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said that balanced development of all areas of the state especially those underdeveloped ones has been prioritized in policy planning of the government. Omar said that administration has been sensitized regarding their responsibilities about reaching out to people in remote and hilly areas. He said that special attention is being paid to give fillip to works in these areas and launch new schemes of wide-ranging benefits. Chief Minister said “Physical status and financial spending is being monitored continuously and wherever necessary, directions for fast tracking the works are given”, he said and added that during the review of district development plans in various districts, he has approved additionalties to ensure completion of works in time. Chief Minister was talking to deputations from Balakote, Mendhar led by legislator, Javid Ahmad Rana here today. Various deputations from district Anantnag, Pulwama, Samba and Jammu also called on the Chief Minister and apprised him of various demands pertaining to the development of their areas. Advisors to Chief Minister, Mubarak Gul and Devender Rana were present on the occasion.
