Yatra for rejuvenating Communal Harmony: BJP | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 21: Taking exception to the repeated statements of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah not to allow BJYM to hoist National Flag at Lal Chowk in Srinagar on Republic Day, BJP Spokesperson Dr. Nirmal Kamal today questioned leaders of Congress and NC alliance whether they are nationalists or not. In a handout issued here today, she said that “Rashtriya Ekta Yatra” which started from Kolkata on January 12 is aimed sending a strong signal that the nation stands one so far the integrity of any of the territory including Jammu and Kashmir is concerned. She added that “Rashtriya Ekta Yatra” is aimed at rejuvenating communal harmony in the State. She maintained that Omar Abdullah who has taken oath of state constitution and is at the mercy of Union Government is not allowing Yatra to enter the state of Jammu and Kashmir. She reminded Chief Minister that BJP undertook the mission of hoisting National Flag at Lal Chowk earlier under the leadership of Veteran leader of BJP Atal Behari Vajpayee in early 90s. She affirmed that as far as BJP is concerned, Dr. Nirmal Kamal said that the Yatra will go ahead with its schedule of hoisting National Flag at Lal Chowk in Srinagar on January 26.
