PDP seeks withdrawal of security forces | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 21: Lambasting National Conference led coalition government for its indifferent attitude towards problems being faced by the masses; Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today asserted that party would rigorously take up issues of public importance. Addressing a meeting of prominent party workers, leaders observed during the last two years, government has not taken even a single step towards betterment of the general public. PDP leaders reiterated demands for revoking laws like Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) and withdrawal of troops from the civilian areas. They said that party would continue to agitate over these issues in a democratic manner. Prominent among those who addressed the meeting included vice president Sardar Trilok Singh Bajwa, former Minister Sardar Rangil Singh, general secretary Thakur Balbir Singh, Ved Mahajan, Daman Bhasin, state secretary Falail Singh, Shanti Devi, Suram Singh, Rashid Malik, Jagjit Singh Jagga, Surjeet Kour, Narinder Singh, Digvijay Singh, Parveen Katal, Chatter Saini, K K Sharma, Tarsem Sainik Vikram Singh, Rashpal Singh and others.
