UPMA criticizes govt for ignoring diploma holders

DODA, Jan 21: A meeting of Unemployed Para-Medical Association (UPMA) District Doda was held at Doda under the Chairmanship of its President Faizan Ali Tramboo.
According to handout issued here today, it has been stated that Tramboo criticized state government as well as health department including National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) for ignoring diploma holders of male multipurpose health workers (MMPHW). He maintained that government created posts for female multipurpose health workers but failed to advertise them.
Tramboo appealed to Chief Minster, Health Minister, Director Health Services and NRHM to intervene keeping in view future of these diploma holders. He also warned to intensify agitation if their demands are not conceded at the earliest. Among others who were present in the meeting included Javed Iqbal, Shabir Ahmed, Sartaj Ahmed and others.
