While addressing the party activists, Satish Sharma said that it is a matter of pride for the whole nation that the BJYM has undertaken such yatra which would culminate at Lal Chowk at Srinagar. Sharma said that thousands of party activists from various parts of the country will participate in the flag hoisting programme at Lal Chowk. While coming down heavily on CM Omar Abdullah for his statement that the yatra will not be allowed to enter Kashmir, Sharma said that Kashmir is an integral part of India and every citizen has right to hoist tricolor in any part of India. Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Gupta said that the party has decided to hoist the national flag at Lal Chowk because every now and then, the Indian flag is shown disrespect and is being dishonoured by the separatists. Gupta added that this is the main reason that BJP has decided to hoist the national flag at the same place where it was dishonoured. He further said that all the party activists will give a welcome to the yatra in Udhampur and the party activists in large numbers will accompany the yatra to Lal Chowk.
