KPC leader extends support to BJP’s flag hoisting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu , Jan 21: KPC chief Kundan Kashmiri today appealed to prime minister of India and Governor to intervene for hoisting the National Flag in Lal Chowk, Srinagar, Kashmir on the Republic Day. He also appealed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and JKLF chief Yaseen Malik not to blow the flag hoisting issue out of proportion and allow to go this nationalist activity at historical place Lal Chowk without any hurdle and with full support and protection. He said that under the guidelines of Supreme Court and the constitution of India every citizen of Indian Nation or organization is allowed to hoist the national flag anywhere and at any place in the country, particularly on Republic or Independence Day with due honour and national spirit. The negation to this Nationalist activity by Omar Abdullah and others indicates that they have either succumbed before separatists and stone-pelters or compromised with their policies. No doubt, CM has taken care of normalcy in the valley, but not at the cost of national unity and integrity of the country or to encourage the separatist forces to allow them to dictate and prevail their writ, he added . ``To obstruct the National Flag hoisting on any part of the state or the country by any individual or leader demonstrates his separatist bent of mind, opinion, policies and attitude to deal with the situation. Inspite of supporting the move being the CM of the state, he is again encouraging and appeasing the separatist and pro-pak forces by his disapproval to this proposed activity by the nationalist forces, ’’ he said. Kashmiri said that on one hand, Omar claims normalcy in valley and at the other hand apprehends disturbance at the hand of separatists on the flag hoisting issue at Lal Chowk, Kashmir. As CM of the state, he must keep in mind that normalcy does not mean only stoppage of stone pelting or less prevalence of gun but normalcy actually means is the writ of Indian constitution and security forces must be prevalent in the valley and to allow all the section of the people and communities to live together to enjoy equal right and privileges freely and without fear. Later, Kundan Kashmiri extended his organizational support to all nationalist activities in the valley, including flag hoisting in Lal Chowk, Kashmir. He also appealed all nationalist forces including his community brothern to celebrate Republic day on January 26 by hoisting national flag at all important chowks and buildings in their respective areas, towns and cities.
