| CAPD urged to rush ration to Sunderbani, Nowshera areas | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Jan 21: J&K PCC general secretary and spokesperson Ravinder Sharma today urged the authorities to rush rations to Sunderbani and Nowshera areas as people in these hilly areas were facing shortage of essential commodities.
There is shortage of essential commodities in many areas of these hilly tehsils and CAPD authorities were already aware about it, Sharma, who is also MLC, said in a statement here.
People are facing hardships in many areas of these twin tehsils on account of shortage of wheat, rice and kerosene and the concerned department needs to rush the essentials as per quota to these areas in order to mitigate the problems of the people, he said, adding, that this issue has already been brought to the notice of the higher authorities for immediate action.
The Congress leader expressed hope that prompt action is taken in the matter by concerned department in order to address the immediate needs of the people.
