HC Staff Welfare body meet held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu Jan 21 : A meeting of executive body of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Staff Welfare Association met under the chairmanship of Pawan Kumar Verma of main wing of High Court Jammu wherein members criticised the road map fixed by the government for paying 50 pc arrears of 6th pay commission in five installment starting from April 2011 to April 2016. The Association criticized the government for breach of trust by the government made in year 2008, wherein government has agreed to pay arrears in cash. Association has further taken stand to back the move and stand taken by the Secretariat Employees Association and assure to take part in any movement for achieving arrears of 6th pay commission. Association has also demanded DA at the rate 10 per cent and enhancement of age from 58 to 60 years as most of the states have done it. Association criticised the government to provide benefit of pay to IAS officers, who were initially paid such benefits with state employees there by treating the step motherly attitude with employees. Later, Kewal Krishan Sharma, Vice President Jammu wing urged the government to fulfill the just demands of state employees and implement the agreement executed in the year 2008 failing which Association will decide to file petition against breach of trust with employees and provoking employees for strike.
