Valedictory function of FDP at GCET | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 21: Minister of State for Cooperative Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma today stressed upon teachers and parents to make coordinated effort for inculcating spirit of obedience and hard work and for imparting moral education to students. Minister was addressing a valedictory function of Faculty Development Programme (FDP) at Government College of Engineering and Technical Education, Chak Bhalwal. He said that students with sharp mind not only outshine in the society but also at national and international level, adding that teachers have to make strenuous efforts to chisel their raw talent. Earlier, the Principal of the College, Dr. Bhupinder Singh apprised about the objective of organizing the FDP and successful completion of the programme. Head of Department, Mechanical Engineering and Coordinator Faculty Development Prof. Sarbjeet Singh said that the programme was spread over a fortnight in which various technocrats of different technical institutions of Jammu participated. Assistant Prof. Dr. Ravinder Kumar faculty members and students of the College attended the function. Later, Minister awarded faculty members with certificates of participation they include Prof. Manoj Gupta, Prof. Simi Dutta and Prof. Bhawna Sharma. He also distributed certificates of merit among meritorious students for paying highest marks in various courses, run by the College; they include Suhail Ahmad Bhat and Ashima Puri.
