| Fire services deptt holds mock drills | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 21: In order to create fire safety awareness amongst students and schools staff, National Level Fire and Evacuation Drills were conducted today.
One school in each district was identified and selected in J&K State for this drill. In order to make it the success and result oriented, the fire and evacuation drills in these schools were conducted in coordination with concerned District Education Officers/Chief Education Officers and other stakeholders. School fire management teams (SFMCs) and sub-teams were constituted amongst the School staff, students and personnel of Fire & Emergency Services.
In Jammu district, the fire and evacuation drill was conducted in Dogra Higher Secondary School in which 587 students and 39 staff members of the school besides the services personnel from Fire and Emergency Services participated. Director General Fire & Emergency Services Dr. G. A. Bhat was the chief guest on the occasion. R. S. Sodhi, Director Fire & Emergency Services, R. K. Hak, Joint Director Fire & Emergency Services and L. A. Khan, Deputy Director Fire & Emergency Services Command Jammu and CEO, Jammu was present on the occasion.
