| Katra Information office punches holes in state exchequer | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATRA Jan 22 :- A wing of the Information Department in the Holy Katra town serves no purpose. It only punches holes in state exchequer. This is what the locals believe.
To provide the much needed information to the pilgrims, the Department has already created about 11 posts designated as Assistant information officer, Exhibition assistant, Cultural- Technical employees and n office boy. However, the locals said that most of the employees remain absent.
The `dummy office’ locals believe instead of helping the pilgrims puts them to inconvenience. Lack of information only helps the touts who fleece the pilgrims said a local youth Sunil Sharma.
DDC Reasi, Panduranga K pole said the matter had been taken up with Director Information last week. The director has promised appropriate action after the process of departmental promotions was over.
