Jora for promoting pilgrim tourism in Bani, Basholi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Jan 22: Minister for Tourism and Culture, Nawang Rigzin Jora today said that areas having vast potential of pilgrim tourism development in Basholi and Bani of Kathua district will be fully harnessed to attract more and more domestic as well as foreign tourists. This was revealed by the Minister while chairing 1st meeting of Lakhanpur-Sarthal Development Authority Lakhanpur. Minister of State for Cooperatives, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma (MLA, Billawar) Member Parliament, Ch Lal Singh, legislators, Jagdish Raj Sapolia, Lal Chand and Charanjit Singh, Principal Secretary, Tourism, and Culture, Atul Duloo, Director, Tourism, Jammu, R. K. Verma, Chief Executive Officer Lakhanpur-Sarthal Development authority Lakhapur, A. S. Chib and other senior officers were present on the occasion. Jora urged upon the Development Authority to ensure that suggestions of local legislators are taken care of before taking up any new development work in their respective areas. Referring to other demands of the parliamentarian and legislators, the Minister assured to give consideration to their valuable suggestions put forth during deliberations. Jora asked for early completion of wayside amenities at Kharoot Morh Kalibari for which funds have already been released. He also directed for construction of approach road to the under execution Tourist Reception Centre at Satwari, adding that, work for landscaping to beautify the village Thein be also accelerated for early completion.
