Another batch of 296 JKP cops pass out from PTTI Vijaypur

Jammu, Jan 22: Stressing upon the out going jawans to devote themselves for the service of the society and protection of integrity of the nation, the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Home-Guards, Civil Defence & Auxiliary Police, Dr. Ram Lubhaya said that Jammu and Kashmir Police has not only worked on forefront for the protection of life and property in the times of unrest, but also offered a helping hand to the needy people in the times of natural calamities and disasters. He said that tackling militancy as a challenge, Jammu and Kashmir Police gave supreme sacrifices of its jawans and officers to bring peace and normalcy in the State.
The ADGP was addressing at the Attestation-cum-Passing Out Parade of 296 recruit constables at Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI), Vijaypur today.
Dr Lubhaya said that these recruit constables have undergone a rigorous 10 months basic training course. They have been trained in different fields of policing, keeping in mind the professional needs of the police force in the present times which include crowd control, weapon handling, fire fighting techniques, crime detection, human rights protection, traffic regulation, VIP security and maintenance of law and order.
On the occasion, constable Zabeer Hussain was declared all round best trainee and was decorated with one rank out of turn promotion. Constable Anil Kumar was declared second all round best trainee and was rewarded with Rs. 10,000 and a commendation certificate. Similarly, Rakesh Kumar and Sanjiv Kumar were rewarded for their performances during the training with Rs.15,000 and Rs.7,500 respectively.
Earlier, in his welcome address, the Principal of the Institute, Rajneesh Pran Sharma highlighted the achievements of the Institution and briefed about the different courses conducted during 2010.
The function was attended by Inspectors General of Police, A. K. Chowdhery and Gulzar Singh Slathia, Deputy Inspectors General of Police, Danish Rana and Sham Lal, Senior Superintendents of Police, Ghulam Hassan Bhat, J. L. Sharma, Israr Khan and M. A. Tak, Dy. S.P. (Trainings) PHQ, B. A. Shah and Jammu based Commandants of IR/ Armed Battalions.
