Jammu Jan 23: In an effort to rejuvenate their potential expertise on the theatrical scene of Jammu, nearly two dozen active groups belonging to the field today joined hands under the patronage of United Artists’ Confederation (UAC).
The forum came into the existence with a pledge to work for and disseminate exhaustively their expertise in the variegated field of art and culture so that the already enriched state of Jammu and Kashmir could be made more vibrant on this aspect and its authority be listed on the national as well as the international forum in right perspective
Addressing the maiden press conference today, the newly elected executive members of the Confederation informed that the need for coming under one canopy as a single unit was long cherished need of the artists so that a combined effort could be made at different levels to attain creditable recognition of the work done by the theatre artists of the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Sharma, president of UAC said, “Many of the groups having joined the platform have long drawn experience behind them of more than 20 years in their respective fields and due to scattered individuality have been losing upon many big things that could have been affected unitedly.
