Guru files mercy plea

New Delhi, Nov 9
Parliament attack case convict Mohd Afzal Guru has finally filed a mercy petition before the President of India. It has been learnt that after meeting his family, Guru handed over his mercy petition spread over 102 leaves to authorities of Tihar Jail, where he is lodged presently. Some documents spread over 75 leaves have also been tagged with 102 page mercy petition.
The mercy petition is being sent to President of India Dr A.P.J.Abdul Kalam through jail authorities of Tihar jail. Expressing his happiness over the support and solidarity shown by secessionist minded people of Kashmir with him, Guru has said in the mercy petition that he has a hope to see his sons in youth now. He has went on record to say " I have been impressed by the good will gesture of President of India, Dr A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, which he had shown during his meeting with my wife Tabasum Guru, son Galib Afzal and mother Safdar. " .He further said " I have hope to get justice now".
