1/23/2011 9:23:28 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Jan 23: Lambasting BJP for its proposed flag hoisting ceremony at Lala Chowk in Srinagar on Janauray 26, the International Democratic Party (IDP) has said that why the saffron party is only focusing Kashmir while the country has twenty eight other states where such unfurling of tricolor
is not its concern. The chief spokesperson of IDP Inder Dev Khajuria flays the BJP and its
youth wing for befooling and misguiding the people by taking this issue as per its internal strategy to divert the attention of the people from the fatal sufferings like price rise, growing poverty,
corruption, growing unemployment and other social evils. He said if the BJP wants to strengthen the national integration then why not it is unfurling the national tricolors at the others part of
the country, why it has chosen only Lal Chowk for this. He said this entire episode is part of the big conspiracy which may be hatched by the some capitalists and entire corporate world through the BJP to
crush the common man’s rights and interests.
He said that if the BJP consider itself a true pro-people, pro-national political party then it should leave the cheap and opportunistic politics.
Meanwhile, National Students Union of India (NSUI) has appealed the state government should not allow Rashtriya Ekta March by the youth wing of BJP to unfurl the national tricolor at Lal Chowk Srinagar.
District NSUI president Paramjeet Singh said that BJP’s programme is a major threat to the state’s security and peace. The NSUI urged the BJP to come forward to fight with the growing problems of unemployment, corruption and terrorism instead promoting divisive agenda
