The leaders of the Peoples’ Democratic Party(PDP) today conducted extensive tour of Jammu West constituency to assess the civic problems of the people living in h the area and initiative measures to mitigate the same.
Led by Renu Azad State Executive Member, PDP leaders, Ashok Sharma District Jammu Urban, Ashok Jogi District Vice President Jammu Urban, R.K .Bali Zonal President, Raj Kumar, Manta Bali, Sukhdev Singh, Rajinder Manhas Youth leader, Kunti Devi, Harbans kour Found that rain water had inaugurated in several houses of Colony. As many as 250 houses suffered from inundation, the party said in a press release.
The leaders found hygienic condition of the lanes and drains, particularly wards No41 and 42 and assured the residents of the area that PDP would take up the matter with regard to effecting the improvement of the civic conditions with concerned authorities. They found that local nallah flowing through the area was creating havoc for the residents of the area, the release said.
The leaders also noted that at least one member of each house of the colony was ill because of infection caused by the over-flow of the nallah.
Large number of residents of Pata Paloura came out to welcome PDP leaders and to narrate to them their problems, the release added.
Residents of ward No 16,17,18 especially women said that they have been inspired by the programmes and policies of the PDP patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti and now they were looking for every chance to join this people friendly party. They said that the dynamic leadership of Mufti Sahib a lot of improvement has taken place in the overall development and security scenario of the state.
