First Tamil movie dedicated to brave Rukhsana Kausar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu ,Jan 24: Nimidangal's claim to fame is unique. The movie, directed by veteran director Geethakrishna, happens to be the first Tamil film to be dedicated to a bravery award winner — a girl who shot dead a terrorist with her weapon in Kashmir. Says director Geethakrishna, "My movie is dedicated to Rukhsana Kausar, a brave Kashmiri Gujjar girl from Jammu and Kashmir. She has been awarded the National Bravery Award for her daring act and ranked as one of the top Indians last year. We chose to dedicate our film to Rukhsana because my film deals with the subject of terrorism and its evils." The movie, apart from the fact that it has been dedicated to a bravery award winner, has also triggered interest for several other reasons including its script. Says Geethakrishna, "It has been found that a normal person uses only a very negligible portion of his or her brain during his or her lifetime. In fact, it has been found that those who have managed to use 10 per cent of their brains have been declared geniuses by the world. These facts form an important base to my story. My hero is a very intelligent person, whose acumen can help him resolve any problem that comes his way. The contest between him and another genius from Pakistan, who is a terrorist and looking to create problems in India, is what my story is all about. While Atul Kulkarni plays the villain in the film, Shashank, who has acted in Telugu films, is playing the hero. The heroine is a well-known Kannada actress called Bianca Desai, who is making her debut in Tamil."
