Plus 2 lecturers to observe protest day on Feb. 9 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Jan 23: All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers' Forum has given 15 days ultimatum to the Government and decided to observe" Protest Day" all across the state on February 9 against the delaying tactics in regularization of 7000 incharge incumbents. The decision of the Forum was announced by H.D Qureshi the state president while addressing a press conference at Jammu in presence of Dr. Manzoor Ahmed President Kashmir Province, beside the Central leadership of both the Regions. Qureshi strongly condemned the failure of government in implementing the decision of cabinet which categorically stated that all the incharge incumbents in school education department will be regularized within specified period of three months. Qureshi informed that it is height of cruelty and callous attitude that 7000 officers in the department that include lecturers, principals" headmasters, zonal education officers and other higher officers are awaiting their regularization since 1998 onwards and the government is still very casual in its approach. Qureshi elaborated it is a worst type of exploitation of human labour and a cruel Joke with the teaching community which has been made scapegoat for none of its fault that badly effects the teaching learning process. Dr. Manzoor Ahmed President Kashmir Province while speaking on the occasion regretted that the government has forced the community to adopt the aigitational path because of deliberate delay in regularization and declared that the cadre will go to any extent if the government continues with the delaying tactics. Qureshi while giving the details of" Protest day" on Feb 9, expressed that in all the three regions of the state the respective district presidents will lead the protest rallies.
