Deputation meets Minster CAPD; seek enhancement of ration quota | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Jan 23: A deputation of Jammu Welfare Organization led by Kasturi Lal Gupta(President) Gopal Krishan Badyal (Gen. Secty.) met Qamer Ali Akhoon Minister for CAPD in his office chamber in Civil Secretariat Jammu and apprised him about various problems being faced by Jammunities. The presence scale of ration being supplied on depots i.e 5kg of Rice, 20kg of Atta for a family of 4 units and 700gm sugar (per head) which is not sufficient whereas past practice as well as the scale mentioned in New ration cards in 13 kg per head which may be restored. The deputation also stressed upon minister to ensure the supply of Sarbati rice and one kg sugar per ration cards on festivals on ration depots which will be historical step and a credit to ruling coalition. The deputation expressed over the variant prices of milk i.e Rs. 18 to 30 per kg be streamlined by notifying the prices based on degree of milk. Similarly uniform prices of milk products be also fixed and rates be implemented scrupulously and it may be assured that the shopkeepers be bound to display the rate lists. The Deputation comprised of G.L. Bali, Vinod Malhotra, Deepak Puri, Ravi Dogra, Shashi Sawhney, Saumer Luthra, Ram Pal Anand, Yogeshwar Singh, Viraj Sharma, Bishan Dass, Sardari Lal, Mukesh Raina, Kavi Bhadwraj and others.
