| Training programmes on women awareness concludes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAMNAGAR, Jan 23- Training programme on women development and empowerment sponsored by Government of India (GOI) concluded at ICDS Project, Ramnagar .
Under the series, six programmes of 30 participants each were organized w.e.f January 03, 2011 to January 22, 2011 and a total of 180 Anganwari workers drawn from ICDS projects Ghordi, Chenani and Dudu-Basantgarh besides Ramnagar attended.
The training programmes were inaugurated by SDM Dudu-Basantgarh and during the training programs participants were imparted knowledge on various themes like legal and constitutional rights of women, gender equality, status of women vis-a-viz changing social scenario, Stress and time management, health & hygiene, need of balanced diet, etc.
Besides, the CDPO and supervisors of ICDS Project, Ramnagar, various resource persons including Amit Sharma SDM Basantgarh, Kalpana Revo, Sub-Judge, Ramanagar, Asha Gupta, Principal, GDC Ramnagar, Pankaj Sharma Asst. Professor, Dr. Rajesh Gupta BMO, G. M Thermat Principal and lecturers of HSS Ramnagar conducted their sessions and apprised the participants with the knowledge about various themes.
Programme Officer (ICDS), Udhampur, Anjana Tickoo was the chief guest and Dr. Rajesh Gupta BMO was guest of honour in the valedictory function, who along with CDPO Ramanagar Pritam Lal Thapa distributed the certificates to participants and impressed upon the need of empowering the women specially the rural women for their upliftment and development as a whole in their address.
