| KBA chief’s remand extended by 12 days | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 24 :- Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu , MS Parihar today extended the judicial remand of Kashmir Bar Association (KBA) chief, Mian Abdul Qayoom’s remand by 12 days.
Qayoom was arrested by the police Gharota u/s /S 120-B, 121 , 121-A 124-A RPC and section 13 Unlawful Activities Act last month.
The court after considering the case observed that there exist adequate grounds for remanding the accused to further judicial custody. The court while extending the remand up to February 5 directed the authorities to lodge him in Central Jail, Kotbalwal.
The Jail Superintendent has been directed to provide all the medical assistance/treatment to the accused. “He should be medically examined after every 48 hours”, the court directed.
