PHEWA condemns govt for neglecting their demands

JAMMU Jan 24: The Public Health Engineering Employees and Workers Association (PHEWA) condemned the government for neglecting their demands, here today.
Addressing a press conference here, Rattan Doshi, President of the Association, said that despite of more than 61 years of Independence the poor people of the country have been ignored and deprived of their constitutional rights. He said due to the anti-employees policies of the government, the workers of PHE struggling to get their rights. Doshi further said that Association members has several times brought to the notice of the government
about their problem but nothing has been done till now. The Association leader highlighted their demands including there should be Rs 110 per day be given to PHE employees working on daily rated basis, release of remaining one and half days graita to the permanent
employees, technical higher pay scale should be sanctioned to regularized employees, regularization of all ITI and Non-ITI daily rated workers, consolidated and need base workers who have completed their 5 years, new vehicles against the old once and transfers of 4th
class employees should be made at section level instead of sub-divisonal level. The Association members also demanded regularization of all daily wagers, who had completed their seven years of continuous daily wage services against SRO 64 of 1994. He
also warned that Association workers to observe “Kaam Chor Hartal” on February 15, 2011 for 72 hours if the government fails to implement their demands.
