PCC leader conducts tour of Sunderbani tehsil | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Sunderbani, Jan 24: Member Legislative Council, PCC general secretary and spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, conducted tour of Bimliya, Thangriot, Bandrai and Patrara areas of tehsil Sunderbani and took stock of the various problems of people. Sharma also paid obeisance at Dargah Baji Sahib, Jhandi Morh at Bharak and prayed for peace and harmony. During his tour, Sharma was apprised about the acute shortage of rations in tehsil Sunderbani as people complained that the department has not been able to provide the sanctioned quota of APL ration. He was told that only 22 quintal of ration was provided as against sanctioned monthly quota of 105 quintal in remote Panchayats Bimliya and Thangriot which comes to around 20% of the sanctioned quota.. Sharma enquired from the concerned department and found that against the monthly sanctioned quota of 1050 quintal rice only 77 quintal has reached Sunderbani tehsil and against 1408 quintal wheat and atta, only 539 quintal has supplied to the tehsil, so far in this month. Addressing a series of meetings, Sharma assured the people that various demands relating to power, drinking water, road connectivity would be taken due care and the other facilities would also be upgraded. Sharma stressed upon the need for required facilities for pilgrims on Shiv Khori-Bambla root, especially at Jhandi Morh Ziarat. He urged the department of tourism to create necessary facilities and infrastructure for the comfort of the pilgrims visiting Shiv Khori and Jhandi Morh ziarat and assured to take up the demands vigorously. He also announced to provide funds from the MLC Constituency Development Scheme (CDS) for the purpose.
