Army sent 38 Rajouri children on Sadbhavana tour | | | early times report RAJOURI, Jan 26 : On the occasion of Republic Day of India, Ace of Spades Division of Army today sent 38 tiny tots of Rajouri district on South India 15 days tour. The tour has been organised under Sadbhava mission of army. As per reports, the tour was flagged off by General Officer in Commanding, Ace of Spades Division Major General Om Parkash from Army Landing Ground Rajouri. The tour comprised 38 children and four teachers of Rajouri's various schools. The children for the tour have been selected from different communities and strata of society to visit Pune, Mumbai and Goa from Jan 26 to Feb 8. The educational tour will provide exposure to the children of remote areas of Rajouri to rich cultural heritage of India as well as spread the message of peace and harmony. The tour also aims to enhance the knowledge and give a glimpse of modern India. The Chie Guest General Officer in Command, Major General Om Parkash on the occasion said that army is organizing such programmes for the exposoure of the children of this area so that they can have better knowledge of India and its rich heritage. |
