| Educational tour flagged off | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 26: An educational tour for children of Rajouri District was flagged off by Maj Gen Om Prakash, General Officer Commanding, Ace of Spades Division from ALG, Rajouri today.
The 15 day tour under "Sadbhavana", has 38 children and four teachers from various schools of Rajouri district.
The children for the tour have been selected from different communities and strata of society to visit Pune, Mumbai and Goa till February 8. The educational tour will provide exposure to the children of remote areas of Rajouri district to rich cultural heritage of India as well as spread the message of peace and harmony. The tour also aims to enhance the knowledge and give a glimpse of modern India to these children and also provide them with an opportunity to interact with people of different cultures. The Chief Guest asked the children to gain maximum benefit from this tour which will help them to see other parts of own country and increase their knowledge. The children were told to strengthen the bond of faith and friendship amongst them and prorogate the same on their return. |
