KPC decries restriction on tricolour hoisting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Jan 27: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has stated that political leaders running the polity of the Nation must understand the negative fall out of the extra-ordinary situation of restricting national flag hoisting at Lal Chowk in Srinagar by J&K government, which has humiliated the nation in general and nationalist forces in particular. Addressing the republic Day functions organized by KPC at Dwarika and Gurgaon national president KPC Kundan Kashmiri said the tough dealing with the nationalist forces, who wished to hoist the National Flag at Lal Chowk on Republic Day was worst than the event of crack down on Bhartiya Jan Sangh leaders in 1953 by the then NC Govt. This unjustified move of Omar Abdullah was politically motivated with separatist bent of mind to gain cheap popularity among the separatist and secessionist forces in the valley. Kundan Kashmiri also lambasted the chief minister and central Congress leadership for their double standard approach to weaken Indian position in Kashmir rather to unify the whole of Kashmir with the rest of India Kundan Kashmiri said that when nationalist activities like hoisting national flag freely in the valley is restricted then how is it possible for Kashmiri Pandits to return Valley as a free citizen of India. He applied nationalist forces in general and his community in particular to get united to fight against the wrong Kashmir centric policies of the central government and against the nefarious designs of the separatist forces.
