| Martyr Day celebrated | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua , Jan 27: The 3rd martyr day of the Capt. Sunil Choudhary was celebrated at Ambedkar Bridge in Kathua where the large numbers of people along with the father of martyr Capt. Sunil Choudhary, Col. Ch. Pyara Singh, Col. Navneet of 9 GDR, MLA Kathua Charanjeet Singh, ex- Service men and other people of Kathua paid floral tribute and remembered the great sacrifice of this young army officer by lighting
the candles at his statute.
Col Choudhary Pyara Singh during addressing the gathering said that martyr Capt. Sunil Choudhary joined IMA on 1 July 2003 and passed out on 10 Dec 2004 to join the Palatn 7/ 11 Gorkha Riffles the Palatoon moved to counter insurgency operation area during 2006 where he made his supreme sacrifice during a heavy gun battle with ULFA terrorist in Assam. The father of martyr said that the capt. Sunil Choudhary was the less my son but more the son of his loving soil of the nation he laid his life for the cause of nation during gun battle between the enemy of the nation in Assam and he fought for long and finally he got unforgettable martyrdom. He further said that it is a pride for me to be the father of this great soul who laid the life for nation and he further appealed to all the young generation to join the Indian army and strengthen the security and protect the nation from the antisocial elements.
