| PDP anguished over police | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 27: Peoples Democratic Party has expressed anguish over the failure of police department.
Addressing media on Thursday Sharma, General Secretary, PDP JammuDistrict Rural, against the failure of the Police Department in locating the kidnapped girl, namely, Madhu Devi D/o Parkash Chand R/o Village Taru Chack, Block Marh, Tehsil Jammu, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station, Domana(Police Post Sanduwan).
He pointed,"The said girl was kidnapped on 5th of January. It is said that one Major Singh S/o Sat Pal of the same village (of adjacent house) has kidnapped her.
The FIR has been lodged with police post Sanduwan. In spite of lapse of more than three weeks no more concrete steps seem to have been taken by the concerned officers as so far on clue about their whereabouts have been made known to the family members of the kidnapped girl. It may not be out of the place to mention here that the said kidnapped girl is minor one". He stressed upon the District Administration to kindly personally intervene in the matter and get the kidnapped minor girl located immediately and culprits should be brought to hook at the earliest so that the unrest in the minds of the public of the area is settled and no untoward incidents like demonstrations and blocking of the roads takes place.
Sharma also condemned the brutal lathi charge on innocent on Physical Education Teachers on 24th instant when they were going to MAM Stadium Jammu along with children of different schools for Republic Day Rehearsal.
