| Excessive drinking leads to pilgrim's death | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATRA, Jan 27: The consumption of excessive amount of alcohal led to the death of a Vaishno Devi pilgrim here last night.Police sources said Deepak Kumar of Delhi and his friends had darshans of the goddess Vaishno Devi in the Trikuta Hills here late Tuesday night.
All of them returned to the town Wednesday morning. From here, they hired a Tavera jeep and went to picturesque Patnitop where all of them consumed liquor, the sources added.
Sources said when they came back to the town late Wedneday night, Deepak, who was heavily drunk, was taken by his friends to the Katra hospital where he died after some time.
His family had been informed of his death. Police had registered a case in this connection.
