| Sport Climbing: IMF Nilgiri Cup from Feb 19 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 28: The IMF Nilgiri Cup, a two-day national level sport climbing competition, shall be organized at Madras Regimental Centre, Wellington (Tamil Nadu) from February 19.
It is a part of series of sport climbing competitions named IMF Cups, being organized by Indian Mountaineering Foundation, New Delhi, to promote sport climbing throughout the country. Three such competitions have already been conducted by Indian Mountaineering Foundation at Mussorie( Uttarakhand), Hyderabad( Andhra Pradesh) and Chandigarh.
The Lead climbing competitions shall be conducted in six categories of men, women, boys, girls, sub-junior boys and girls. However, Speed Climbing competition shall be conducted in men category only.
The competition is open to all zones, Army, Air Force, paramilitary forces, mountaineering institutes, universities and other educational institutions. The winners will be awarded certificates and cash prizes.
