Arch type culvert over canal at Babliana soon: Bhalla | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 28: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla has said that Government has formulates a comprehensive plan for reconstruction of breach and choked bridge in place of arch type culvert over canal breach at Babliana adding that for which Rs. 1.75 crore proposal is in active consideration in Roads and Buildings Ministry for early release of funds. This was stated by the Minister while interacting with the locals after inspecting the ongoing restoration work of canal, nallah and bridge at Babliana, here this evening. Bhalla asked the Irrigation and Flood Control department to immediately remove the silt from the choked portion of the nallah so that the area people do not face any inconvenience due to flow of nallah water. He said Government has earmarked Rs. 15 lakh for construction of deep drain and 1.5 crore for construction of embankments of the canal. He further said the government is also embarking on a plan to develop park along the open space of canal for which Rs. 1.6 crore has been earmarked. He said that 30 crore Grid Station has been commissioned to improve electricity supply in Gangyal Industrial area.
