Latti Block level bankers committee meet held

Latti (Dudu Basantgarh), Jan 28: A Block Level Bankers Committee Meeting held at remote area Latti of Dudu Basantgarh Sub Division in which a detailed review of schemes of various line departments was held today under the overall supervision of Sub Divisional Magistrate Dudu Basantgarh Amit Sharma.
Project Officer DRDA Udhampur Sushil Kumar, BDO Dudu Basantgarh and bankers of SBI, NABARD, JKB, JCCB apart from representatives of line departments were present in the meeting. They presented their achievements under SGSY and other flagship schemes. It was also disclosed in the meeting that a progress of loaning 60 micro
entrepreneurship units for small trades like dairy, mule keeping, sheep rearing and retail shops has been made out of the annual target of 73 units in this financial year.
The representatives of various line departments such as agriculture, horticulture, sericulture and sheep husbandry were present in the meeting who were instructed to put up an extra effort and adopt a liberal approach to increase the sponsorship to various banks in motivating unemployed youth of this remote Sub Division to establish
their units under various schemes. It was also informed that 13 Self Help Groups (SHGs) have been formed under these schemes in the Sub Division in which two are related to Horticulture sector. PO DRDA emphasised that all the remaining targets should be met and all pendency in this behalf should be cleared with a span of one month and
another review shall be held soon to assess the progress made in this behalf.
SDM Amit Sharma in his remarks instructed the line departments to spread maximum awareness about these schemes in different belts of the Sub Division through BDO Dudu Basantgarh and reach out to majority Below Poverty Line (BPL) population of the Sub Division so that they become aware about these employment oriented schemes and get best possible benefits of these schemes.
