| Advanced Management Programme begins at JU | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 28: A two day Advanced Management Programme for Academic Administrators and College Principals being organized by the Academic Staff College and Directorate, Colleges Development Council got under way at the University of Jammu (JU) today.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Prof. Varun Sahni, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion Prof Varun Sahni underlined the need for a greater interaction between the academic administrators in the colleges and the University administration. He advised the college
Principals and academic administrators not to neglect academics while they are in administrative positions. He said that the University views the college administrators as equal partners and all its pursuits. The Vice Chancellor also dwelt in detail about the graduation (Honour’s Courses) that the University is proposing to introduce in the near future.
Earlier speaking to the academic administrators, Director, Colleges
Development Council, Prof Rajive Gupta, brought to light many common areas of concern between the University and the Colleges.
