| People attack police at Kishtwar, 2 cops hurt | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 28: Two cops sustained minor wounds after some people attacked a police party which had gone to Sarkoot Mohalla in search for Charas smugglers.
Police sources said some cops from Kishtwar police station last night went to Sarkoot Mohalla following inputs that a family had received a charas consignment.
However, when the cops tried to enter the house, the inmates resisted their move. Two cops sustained minor injuries when some inmates allegedly assaulted them, the sources added. The car of a Sub-Inspector was also damaged by some Mohalla residents.
When contacted, Kishtwar SDPO, DSP Mohan Lal Thakur said the matter was still under investigation. He refused to divulge the details. |
