| Congress ministers hold separate meeting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU Jan 28: Soon after the cabinet meeting meeting, the ministers of the Congress held a meeting of their own in which the matter of their party's strategy with respect to holding of panchayat elections were concerned. Sources said since the fisrt meeting of cabinet sub panel is being held tomorrow morning, the Congress which has now three ministers as members in this panel, discussed the issue threadbare as to how they would find feasible and acceptable, if at all, the other members put any suggestions with regard to incorporating the provisions instead of amendments in entirety. It may be mentioned this is the main issue in maniefesto of the Congress which is why it is adamant and vocal on the issue contrary to NC which is opposed to this proposition. |
