| NSF observes martyrdom day of Mahatma | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 30: National Secular Forum (NSF) organized a programme on Jammu University campus to pay tributes to the Father of the Nation on his 62nd death anniversary.
Amid slogans “Mahatma Gandhi Amar Rahen ‘”Inquilab Zindabad” and
‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, the NSF activists paid tributes to Mahatma
Gandhi and garlanded his portraits.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamaldeep Singh State Secretary NSF, stressed upon the youth to shun their self centered outlook and contribute in the development of the nation.
Kamaldeep Singh said that Mahatma Gandhi became one of the most respected spiritual and political leaders of the 1900's. Gandhi helped free the Indian people from British rule through nonviolent resistance, and is honored by Indians as the father of the Indian Nation.
