Govt misleading common masses: PDP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, Jan 30: Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) criticized the NC led present coalition government for misleading the people throughout its tenure. Addressing a meeting of party worker in Androot Nowgran, Senior PDP leader Shahzad Khan lambasted the NC led present coalition government’s recent decision of handing over of the premier J&K Bank to RBI. He said that compromising the economic development and resources of the state, the bank has become the latest scapegoat in the hands of the NC led coalition government. Khan said that the present coalition government is not reluctant to put the state’s economy at stake. The power and water resources have already been outsourced and now the premier bank of the state is excluded from its position as the bank er of the state government hands. He said the youth of the state face acute unemployment problems and the government was not providing equal opportunities to all the eligible candidates. PDP leader said that the National Conference (NC) had always used government jobs as a "commodity" which it sells either for money or party interests. He said that the government must ensure continuation of transparency and fairness in recruitment that had been introduced by the previous goverment. He said that government plans were not clear about the extent of recruitment. It is necessary that it government must announce number of total jobs available and the criterion for their distribution. Shahzad said that right from the beginning of the tenure of the present coalition government, there has been no Common Minimum Programme which would have acted as a roadmap for the government so as to work accordingly.
