| J&K Batwal Welfare body hails Omar for appointing CIC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU Jan 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association today hailed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for appointing G.R.Sofi as the Chief Information Commissioner of Jammu and Kashmir.
At a meeting here today held under the chairmanship of Lt Col.(retd) Manohar Lal Kaith termed Omar as the best ever Chief Minister of the J&K State.
Association General Secretary R.L.Kaith informed that all arrangements for celebration of 114th birthday of Sri Guru Gyagi Ji in a grand scale have been finalized. Kaith further informed that a cultural troupe led by renowned Punjabi singer Yash Dev Yamla from Ludhiana was also coming in the commemorative function to grace the occasion.
The meeting nominated former YDC President G.C.Sandhu to act as Chief Coordinator of the Association.
Besides, the meeting constituted Award Committee with R.L.Kaith, G.C.Sandhu, Ramesh Kaith, Duni Singh Motan and Rashpal Kaith.
Prominent among those who participated in the meet included Ex MLA Sat Pal Lakhotra, Capt. Om Parkash Tugga, Capt. Raj Kumar Kaith, Capt. Kamal Chand Motan, Capt. Ram Lal Sargotra, Sub.Maj. Gunni Ram Kaith, Sub. Ghaseeta Ram Lakhotra, Hav. Dilay Ram Kaith, Hav. Uttam Chand Sandhu, Hav.
