| Dharmarth Trust announces Shobha Yatra on Janamashtami | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | JULY 28 Observing the last year’s overwhelming response of the people, this year too, a large number of the social, religious, spiritual and traders unions/ organizations are participating in the Shobha Yatra of Bhagwan Shri Krishna slated to be taken out from old traditional routes of the city of the temples here on August 14. Zthis year as many as thirty Jhankies based on various life aspects of Bhagwan Shri Krishna would participate and competitors whose tableaux would be adjudged first, second and third by the panel judges would be awarded cash prizes of Rs. 3,100 , Rs. 2,100 and Rs. 1,500 respectively . Some consolations prizes would be also given at a simple but a impressive function to be held separately. Presidents of Bazaar Associations would also be awarded cash prizes for best decoration of their bazaars. This was decided at a joint meeting of the heads of various social , religious, spiritual and traders unions,/ organizations held under here under the chairmanship of the president , Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust, Divarka Singh. The secretary, J&K Dharmarth Trust Viajay Gandotra was also present. The meeting among others was attended y corporator Gulshan, President Vishwa Hindu Parishad Dr. Ramakant Dubey, Mahanagar Sangh Chalak, AMart nath Gupta, Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha President Dharni Dhar, President Dharmik Yuvak Mandal , Vinod Gupta and representative of the Shri Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee, S. Babu Singh, President Shri Raghunath Bazaar Association, Suriner Mahajan, Presidentr, rajinder Bazaar Assocation, Banarsi Dass and Mohhamed Ismail. Representatives of several dramatic and Dharmik Mandals also attended. The members stressed upon the need for the celebration of Shri Krishna Janamashtami with trumpet blast. The members thanked the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Hridesh Kumar Singh and SSP Jammu Mukesh Singh for a assuring best management and cooperation to the shobha yatra. The members unanimously decided that the shobha yatra would be taken out fro Shri Raghunathji Temple at 4:00p.m Sharp. Making brief halts at the fixed points for pooja by devotees, the yatra it will culminate at Raghunathji Temple.
