EJAC (Q) to launch protest on Feb 1 | | | JAMMU Jan 30: Employees Joint Action Committee (Q), Provincial body, Jammu, under the leadership of State President Abdul Qayoom Wani has decided to launch protest on Febraury 1 outside Civil Secretariate against the delay in fulfilling the genuine demands of employees agreed upon by the Government from time to time to solve them in time bound manner. The leaders Abdul Qayoom Wani and Mohammad Khursheed Aalam have requested the leaders of other factions to attend the protest. They have also finalized the boarding, lodging arrangement for hundreds of leaders coming from Kashmir, Ladakh and far-flung areas of Jammu. They also appealed the Chief Minister to take personal interest in solving the genuine demands of state employees, so that confrontation between Government and employees is avoided. ``We believe in negotiation but if the people at the helm of affairs will backtrack the agreement then there will be no option other then to come on roads for restoration of rights of employees,’’ Wani said .He said that EJAC at State ,Provincial, District and Zonal level workers were ready to face any challenge for solving their problems. Their demands included 6th Pay commission arrears in favour of Government and retired employees, enhancement in retirement age from 58 yrs to 60 yrs, confirmation of all temporary employees, redressal of pay anomaly cases, financial assistance to all PSU's. The press conference was addressed by Amrik Singh, Ganish Khajouria, Joginder Amreek Singh Sasan and others.
