Shows of Lakeer for students at Abhinav Theatre | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 31: Inaugural function marking start of regular special shows of Pahari film ‘Lakeer’ exclusively for college and school students at the Cultural Academy’s Abhinav Theatre from January 31, was held today by Abhiyaan. Chairman of NGO Abhiyaan Shiv Dutt through which the film has been released for public viewing said that in consequence to the overwhelming public response, shows at Abhinav Theatre, are in addition to regular shows at Hari Theatre. He said that though the film is in its third week, there was a problem of parking at Hari Theatre for school buses. He added that they have decided to hold additional shows for school and colleges keeping in view parking space available at Abhinav Theatre. First screening at 10 AM today was for children of the Heritage School, Jammu. Advisor to Chief Minister Devinder Rana was the chief guest at the screening while guest of honour was Mushtaq Bukhari, Vice-Chairman, Pahari Development Board. Devinder Rana, in his address said that Lakeer is a mile stone in the history of cinema in regional languages of the state. He said looking at the excellent making and acting skills of the local talent, Lakeer, is no less than any Bollywood film. Mushtaq Bukhari, said that Paharis on both side of the LoC, are thankful to Shiv Dutt, the Director, for making a first ever film in Pahari language.
