| JKGEJAC to stage demonstrations on Feb 26 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu , Jan 31: A massive dharna under the banner of J&K Govt. employees Joint Action Committee was held outside the office of Divisional Commissioner, Panama Chowk today to focus the attention of State government on the burning demands of employees and workers . More than 500 activities of different trade unions under the collective leadership of Mohammed Gafoor Dar, Sushil Sudan, Subash Chander, Hari Singh, Mohd Aslam, Mohd Farooq, Parshotam Chib, hold dharna outside the office Divisional Commissioner and raised slogan in favour of their demands.
Addressing the employees, senior leaders of EJAC condemned the delaying policies of government who has failed miserably to settle the genuine demands of employees till date despite assurances on many occasions. EJAC leaders said the government employees and workers are left with no option except to intensify agitation and announced that protest dharnas and demonstrations will be staged at all district headquarters throughout the state on February 26 where memorandums will be submitted to Deputy Commissioners.
The other prominent leaders of EJAC who addressed the dharna included Vinod Kumar, Arun Moza, Suman, Vijay Chand, Rajinder Kumar, Mulvi Maneer Ahmad, Babu Hussain Mlik, Krishan Singh, Bishan Verma, Subash Baru, Gulam Moho Malik, Ab.
