| Singh elected president of Auto union Katra | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATRA, Jan 31: Mohan Singh was today elected President of Auto Union Katra in the elections held here today.
He defeated his nearest rivals Sohan Singh, Sudarshan Singh and Surjit Singh. Mohan Singh got 277 votes while former president Sudarshan Singh managed to get 69 votes only. The other contenders Sohan Singh and Surjit Singh polled 49 and 109 votes respectively. Elections were held under the supervision of Naib-teshildar Katra Rattan Singh, Chairman of auto union Ravi samnotra and SHO Arun Jamwal. Out of total 562 voters, 505 votes were valid while one vote was declared invalid.
