| New modern group of colleges celebrates annual day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 31: New Modern Group of Colleges celebrated annual day function and released its first issue of annual magazine “Divine Light” in the college premises today.
Prof.Saif-ud-Din Soz, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) was the Chief Guest on the occasion .Former Deputy Chief Minister Mangat Ram Sharma was guest of honour. Other distinguished dignitaries included Prof. Rajiv Gupta, Director College Development Council, University of Jammu, Rashid Choudhary, Prof. Javed Khatib Joint Secretary BOSE and Chairman of various colleges as special guest.
Programme started with lighting of lamp and Saraswati Vandana. Chairman, New Modern Group of Colleges Tarun Bahl welcomed the guest and presented bouquet to the guests. College Annual Report was presented by the Principal Prof. Siraj–ud-Din Bhat. A Colorful programme was presented by the students. Main attraction of the programme was folk dance.
In his address, Chief Guest, Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz appreciated management and staff of the college. He congratulated chairman of the college Tarun Bahl for publishing annual magazine “DIVINE LIGHT”. Soz impressed upon the management to work hard and provide quality education. Other Speakers who spoke on the occasion included Prof. Rajiv Gupta, Director, CDC, University of Jammu. He lauded the efforts of the chairman for starting evening degree college.
Best Teacher award was given to Sarita Gupta of N.M. B.ED College and Manish Kumar of N.M. College of Management and IT. Awards were also given to students achievers of all the three wings for academics and extra co-curricular activities by the chief guest.
Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Tehmina Akhter, Principal New Modern Degree College. The Programme was anchored by Neetu Singh, Himani Kochhar and Davinder Kunar.
