Jugal calls on DDC Reasi, discusses illegal parking | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 1: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Jugal Kishore Sharma today called on District Development Commissioner (DDC), Reasi Pandurang K Pole at the Municipal Committee office Katra. During the meeting with DDC, Jugal Kishore thread barely discussed the menace of unauthorized parking at Counter No 2 thereby disturbing the business interests of several businessmen whose bread-butter is more linked with the incoming of inter-state chartered buses. Stressing on the need to make Counter No 2 bus-stand fully operationalised also, Jugal Kishore focused in ensuring smooth passing of vehicles and to curb the traffic jams. He urged the DDC to instruct the concerned to keep a proper check on standing of vehicles of other routes on the road-side, proper parking of inter-state devotees group buses and daily inter-state traveler buses. Former Minister said that administration must devise fool-proof plans so that devotees may not be trapped in traffic jams during peak seasons besides provision of ample parking space for their vehicles. Jugal Kishore while projecting businessmen’s concerns told DDC that if the Counter No 2 bus-stand is used for parking of inter-state buses of different groups of devotees, opening of ticket counter, loading and unloading of daily inter-state government buses from Punjab- Haryana and Volvo buses would save the town from heavy traffic jams but also facilitate the several yatris with hassle-free parking. DDC Reasi gave a patient hearing and assured the Congress leader that administration would come out with desired results as has been put forth. After the meeting, DDC inspected the bus-stand location at counter No 2 along with Jugal Kishore and senior police and administrative officers.
