PHE employees hail CM’s statement | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Feb 1: The PHE Employees Welfare Association today hailed the statement of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in which he has warned the corrupt officers and expressed to eradicate corruption from grassroots during his in 10th conference of vigilance officers. The meeting, under the chairmanship of Thoru Ram Katal, pointed out that thousands of complaints are going to the office of the Chief Minister, but it seems that the matters are not being dealt seriously and iron hands. The meeting expressed that unless and until proper action and inquiries are held on these complaints, it was not possible to eradicate corruption. Om Parkash, an ex employee of the PHE invited the reference of the Chief Minister towards the application submitted to him against the corrupt practices of Daleep Bakshi, Chief Engineer, PHE Department in which Om Parkash alleged that pick and chose policy has been adopted by the said Chief Engineer while disbursing the retirement benefits of the employees, whereby the employees retired much earlier have been ignored and the employees retired later have been given the retirement benefits. The meeting appealed the Chief Minister to take serious action on such complaints and then only the things will be set in line and the corruption will be eradicated. Mohan Lal, Channan Dev, Khairati Lal, Asha Ram, Jagdev Singh, Chaman Lal, Sham Lal, Rajesh Sharma, Satpal Singh and others also spoke on the occasion.
