Govt committed to provide all civic amenities: Bhalla | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 1: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla has said that the coalition Government was committed to provide all civic amenities, including regular electricity, healthcare, education, better sewerage, safe drinking water, roads and lanes in Arnia town and its peripheries at par with urban pockets. This was stated by the Minister while addressing a gathering at a function organized by Trikuta Bhawan Trust at Arnia village of Bishnah town, here this afternoon. Bhalla said on the endeavors of coalition Government, the central Government has released Rs. 90 crore for disbursement of compensation to those people whose crop was damaged due to hail storm. Regarding posting of adequate staff in Revenue office at Arnia, the Minister informed most of the posts of Niab-Tehsildars, Girdawaras and Patwaries are filled up across the state and short fall would be filled up shortly for the convenience of general masses. He said Government is formulated a comprehensive plan for opening of Niabats in every remote and far-off areas of the State in providing latest techniques facilities to the people so that they could trace their landholding record at their doorstep offices. Speaking on the occasion, Ashwani informed Government is making all out efforts to develop Arina town on modern lines in providing all infrastructural facilities to the people the village. On the occasion, Bhalla and Ashwani flagged of 22nd Shoba Yatra of five hundred devotees to Mahakali temple at Bahu Fort organized by Swami Shri Rajesh (Bablu) from the Arnia town. Later, MLA and Minister also distributed blankets, clothes and shawls among the weaker sections of the society. Earlier, Bhalla also laid foundation stone of 950 meter long deep drain and 400 meter long lane at Tower Hill Colony in Guru Teg Bahadur Singh Nagar at Channi Himmat, coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 19.50 lakh. The Minister further said that the Government is also embarking on a plan to include Sunjwan, Guru Teg Bahadur Singh Nagar and Bathindi into Jammu Municipal Corporation for speedy development of the areas adding that the proposal is in active consideration in Housing and Urban Development Ministry.
